Injury Sidelines Tim Jenkins for Season
Wednesday, August 18th, 2027
The doctors have spoken and Tim Jenkins of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers didn't like what he heard. The 29-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Jenkins sustained his season-ending injury during the Portland Privateers game yesterday at Snake Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Wisconsin medical staff reported Jenkins had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 14-15 months.
This year Jenkins has made 6 relief appearances with no saves. In 114 innings, he has fanned 81 hitters and recorded 6 wins and 9 losses with a 5.05 ERA.
