Francis Keeps Hit Streak Alive Sunday, July 18th, 2027 It has been quite a while since somebody stopped Norm Francis without a hit in a game. The Stars couldn't do it in today's game at The Lair in Charlotte. The Amarillo Archdukes second baseman banged out 1 hit and extended his hitting streak to 20 consecutive games in his club's 11-3 victory. Norm Francis struck out in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This season Francis has hit at a .335 clip with 60 RBIs, 9 home runs and 84 runs scored. |
