Abacil Spins No-Hitter Tuesday, July 6th, 2027 Amarillo is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by José Abacil. The 28-year-old hurler was dominating against the Birmingham Barons, leading the Archdukes to a 6-0 win at Regions Field today. "I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," Birmingham manager Dylan Davies said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game." Abacil had 10 strikeouts and gave up no walks en route to the no-hitter. "Yeah, this was a special day for me," Abacil said. "I had my good stuff and good movement. Good location, too. Even when I made a mistake, I got away with it today." So far this season Abacil has 5 wins and 3 losses and a 4.62 ERA.
