Zimmerman Ups Hit Streak to 25 Consecutive Games Sunday, June 13th, 2027 The Trout Slayers proved to be mere mortals today as they lost to the Barons 7-5, but Pat Zimmerman continued his god-like hitting as he collected 3 hits and ran his hitting streak to 25 games. When asked about his torrid-hitting right fielder, the Tuscaloosa skipper said, "Zimmerman is playing great and is on fire now. Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Zimmerman was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said, "We lost the game. Nothing else really matters." Pat Zimmerman singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. Batting .480 to date, Zimmerman has 1 home run and 10 RBIs. |
