2027 CL Best Newcomer Named Saturday, November 13th, 2027 It was an impressive debut for Pocatello catcher Nick Cox. For his solid performance, he has been chosen the best of the 2027 freshman class in the Continental League. The 22-year-old novice carved out a .225 average during the regular season, playing in 131 games and gathering 102 hits in 454 at-bats. Cox hit 26 home runs while driving in 76 runs and scoring 59 times. He also picked up 57 walks to post a .313 on-base percentage. Justin Burgess of the Vista Panthers finished second in voting, while Kip Manning of the Fresno Deplorables finished third. |
