Cristián Escobar was dominant and cool under pressure this year, and his standout performance has earned the Seattle Pikes closer recognition as the 2027 Continental League Reliever of the Year Award.

"I was just doing my job, and my job is to get people out," said the 28-year-old out of Guanajuato, Mexico.

The award winner made 73 relief appearances this year and had 53 saves. He fanned 86 batters in 77 innings, with 15 walks. He pitched to a record of 3 wins and 3 losses to go with his 1.64 ERA.

José Valdéz of the Springfield Stars finished second in voting, while David Simpson of the Vista Panthers finished third.
