Pérez Awarded NL Rookie of the Year Saturday, November 13th, 2027 Few players have National League received the Rookie of the Year Award -- there is only one chosen each season. This year Irvine newcomer Germán Pérez moved up into that elite circle, outclassing his first-year contemporaries. Pérez registered 13 wins and 7 losses in 30 starts, striking out 120 and carving out a 2.61 ERA. He allowed only 157 hits in 186.1 innings as he held the opposition to a .228 average. William Richardson of the So Cal Henvy finished second in voting, while Ronald Cotton of the Maui Tropics finished third. |
