Deplorables on to League Championship Tuesday, October 19th, 2027 The excitement in Fresno is palpable as the local club has advanced through the Divisional Round. The Fresno Deplorables downed the Greenville 84s 6-3 tonight at Michigan & Trumbull, to take the series 4-2. "Things are going to get crazy in Fresno for the League Championship. The fans are going to be behind us 100 percent, we know that," said Keith Beard, who earned MVP honors. "There's a lot of motivation in our clubhouse right now to make sure we give them something to cheer about." For the series, Beard hit .500 with a .577 on-base percentage. He had 11 hits, 0 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Fresno Deplorables don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Seattle Pikes - Springfield Stars series. Springfield leads the series 3 games to 2.
