Luis Cortéz Out for 4-5 Months Tuesday, October 19th, 2027 Luis Cortéz is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Springfield organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 4-5 months with a torn back muscle. The 30-year-old reliever suffered the injury throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Seattle Pikes. So far this year Cortéz has been credited with 3 saves, registered a 1.86 ERA and struck out 96 in 87 innings. He also has a 9-3 record. |
