Looters Heading to League Championship
Saturday, October 16th, 2027
The Divisional Round didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game.
But the New Orleans Looters are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the So Cal Henvy 4-1 to advance to the League Championship.
"It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Looters first baseman Taylor Smith. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire."
New Orleans won the final game by a score of 16-13 at Jersey West at Staples Field.
Smith was named series MVP after hitting .478 with a .478 on-base percentage. He also had 6 home runs, drove in 14 RBI and scored 8 runs.
The New Orleans Looters don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Irvine Gang Green - Plymouth Rocks series. Plymouth leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
