Injury Setback for Machine Alomar Monday, September 27th, 2027 First José Alomar got hurt and suffered a herniated disc. Now he is going to miss even more games. Treatment was going well until yesterday when the Machine left fielder overextended himself in a workout and suffered a setback. The Chicago medical staff have now revised his recovery time to at least 4 days. This season Alomar is swinging the bat at a .279 pace.
