San Francisco's Yoshida Shuts Out Machine

Mabuchi Yoshida of the San Francisco Bandits humiliated the Chicago Machine at Bay View Park today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 3 hits.
"He's got a bunch of different arm angles and his ball was really moving," said Chicago manager Chip Justice, after the game.
Yoshida whiffed 6 and walked 2 in the 1-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Yoshida said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
This year Yoshida has a 7-19 mark in 31 starts with a 5.24 ERA. He has given up 210 hits in 197.2 innings, struck out 103 and issued 69 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .269 batting average against him.
