Stan Hickman Hurt, Out for Year Wednesday, September 15th, 2027 The St. Louis Browns were dealt a severe blow when Stan Hickman was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the Seattle Pikes. After the game, the team trainer reported Hickman might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 38-year-old left fielder out for the rest of the season with a bruised wrist. They indicated it would take Hickman at least 3 weeks to heal. For the season Hickman is hitting .282, batted in 65 runs with 18 home runs and 67 runs scored. |
