Alvarado 5-for-5 Against Frenzy Wednesday, July 28th, 2027 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Andrew Alvarado, it came around today. The 27-year-old left fielder scattered hits all over Edmund Fitzgerald Field to pace the Nassau Rockets to a 6-0 victory over the Niagara Falls Frenzy. Niagara Falls skipper John Leach told reporters in the press room that "Alvarado deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Alvarado hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Andrew Alvarado doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. To date this year Alvarado is batting .340 with 12 home runs.
