Calderón Leads Henvy to Win
A 6-RBI performance from Rubén Calderón, who is on pace to hit 45 home runs this season, helped the So Cal Henvy beat the Austin River Sharks, 13-8. Reliever Jesse Green picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Ramón Estrada took the loss. The current losing streak for Austin has reached 4 games.

So Cal took the lead with one out in the bottom of the fifth when Dexter Potter stroked a grand slam home run. That made the score 9-5 in favor of So Cal. For the day, Potter was 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

"Guys always talk about winning games because of the 'little things,'" Calderón told the So Cal Herald. "Call me old fashioned, but I think baseball is about the big things -- like scoring more runs."
