The Nassau Rockets faced a tough opponent in Los Cabos pitcher Albert Gonzáles, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ledoux Memorial Stadium by a final score of 5-4. Gonzáles went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The win was José García's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Tom Miller took the loss for Los Cabos. With the win, Nassau is 3-3.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Brant Sherman hit a 2-2 changeup from Tom Miller for a 3-run home run. It put Nassau in front, 5-4.
"We take it day by day here," said Sherman, "and today was a good one for us."
