Escalante Goes on Rampage Against Pilots
|
It was a parade of hits for Juan Escalante of the Kenosha Kingfish at Pilot Field today.
Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Escalante finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Kingfish to a 16-6 victory.
"Escalante was really good and we were really bad," groaned Pilots manager Oliver Warren. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
Juan Escalante doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
This season Escalante has delivered 31 hits in 106 at-bats for a .292 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .356 clip and his totals also include 16 RBIs and 18 runs scored. This year Escalante has played in 31 games.
