Bryan, Bandits Wallop Bombers
|
The San Francisco Bandits clobbered the Madison Bombers, 13-1, at Bay View Park today. San Francisco first baseman Jerry Bryan was named player of the game for his productive day. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. San Francisco is now 23-34, while Madison is 14-40.
Bryan contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped San Francisco get the win.
"They took us to the woodshed," said Madison manager Rafael Sorondo.
