The Nashua Redlegs might think twice next time about pitching to Joe Pierce.

At Redleg Field today, the Montgomery Grey Sox right fielder burned Nashua pitching, going 5-for-6 in a 15-3 Montgomery triumph.

"When he's on his game," Montgomery skipper Ted Minor told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."

Joe Pierce singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and struck out in the 8th.

So far this season Pierce is batting .239 with 1 home run, 20 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 113 at-bats, 11 walks and a .307 OBP. Pierce has played in 32 games.
