Tropics Need Extra Frames to Get Past Boccabellas
|
In a low-scoring clash between Maui and Pocatello, pitcher Ronald Cotton was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Maui in the 3-2 win. Reliever Pedro Magana picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Adrián Martínez took the loss. The Boccabellas, now 31-21, have lost 4 straight.
Luis Alou had the critical at-bat for Maui. With two out in the bottom of the tenth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring triple. It gave Maui the 3-2 walk-off win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Alou said.
