Rocks Lose to Frenzy in Walk Off
|
The Frenzy grabbed a win, 3-2, at Edmund Fitzgerald Field, overcoming a fine effort from Plymouth pitcher José Morán. Morán went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Niagara Falls reliever Luis López picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Bartolo García took the loss. The Frenzy have now won 4 straight.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Niagara Falls trailing 2-1, Dante Owens hit a slider from Bartolo García to right-center for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Frenzy had a walk-off win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Owens said in his postgame press conference.
