The Nassau Rockets got a superb performance from second baseman Howard Parker, but the Kansas City Kings still won the game, 6-5. Parker was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 2 for 2 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs. The Kings raised their record to 28-20.
The Kings got a big boost from second baseman Chris Chandler who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning off Rockets hurler Valentín Luna. It was his 16th RBI of the season and put Kansas City on top, 6-5.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Chandler said.
