D-Bags Best Rockets in Pitching Duel
|
Despite the rain, the fans at Ballpark at the Shore enjoyed a good ballgame.
The Jersey Shore D-Bags got a superb performance from pitcher Roland Martin, who shut out the Nassau Rockets, 2-0. In 8 innings, Martin surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed no runs.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, second baseman Ricardo González came through big-time for the D-Bags. With Jersey Shore leading 1-0, he belted a solo home run.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," González told the Jersey Shore News.
The win pushes Jersey Shore to a record of 2-3.
