The Maui Tropics picked up a win at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark, knocking off the New York Knights, 5-4. Starting pitcher Ronald Cotton played a key role in the triumph. Maui has now won 5 games in a row.
Ximena Campos said the idea of hitting a home run barely crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the seventh. Campos belted a 2-run home run to stake Maui to a 5-3 lead. His 2nd home run of the season came off New York pitcher Vic Watts.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Campos.
