Rocks Roach Smacks 5 Hits
It was high-fives all around for Derek Roach at Jersey West at Staples Field today.

He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the So Cal Henvy. Roach smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 13-2 win.

"Derek was hitting everything," said Rocks manager Ismael Martínez. "It really was a special game for him."

In the opposing dugout, Henvy manager Jorge Rivera told BNN beat writers that Roach "ambushed" the club.

"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Roach oversleeps next time."

Derek Roach singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.

This season Roach is batting .326 with 15 hits, no home runs, 9 RBIs, .382 OBP and has scored 9 runs.
