The Niagara Falls Frenzy turned back the Kansas City Kings, 8-7, at Edmund Fitzgerald Field. Clyde Yarbrough was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Niagara Falls reliever Alonso Jiménez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Javier García took the loss. With the victory, the Frenzy record now stands at 18-23.
Niagara Falls right fielder Dante Owens changed the complexion of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when he belted a 3-run home run off Javier García. His 6th home run of the season put Niagara Falls in front, 7-6.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Yarbrough, "but we got it done."
