Plymouth Rocks starter Walt Burton pitched a strong game against the Los Cabos Cartel at Play Rocks Field, leading the Rocks to a 3-1 win. Reliever Manuel Parra picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Vicente Durán took the loss. The save was credited to Bartolo García, his 2nd.

Had Roberto García not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, García hit a 2-run double. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Rocks.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Plymouth manager Ismael Martínez. "Our pregame was pretty good."

With their winning streak at 4, the Rocks have raced to a strong start this season.
