Little Lays Hammer Down in 2-0 Win
|
Baffin Island Beavers starter Jesse Little turned in a top-notch performance against the Maui Tropics at Beaver Dam. The result was a win for the Beavers, 2-0. Edgardo Guzmán earned the save for Baffin Island, his 2nd of the year. Baffin Island, now 3-1, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Little, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 1-0. In 8 innings of work, Little gave up no earned runs on 2 hits, while racking up 12 Ks. He kept the Tropics punchless, offensively.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Little. "Successful pitchers do it."
