Hit Parade: Peck Pops 5 Hits
|
Russell Peck exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Red Bulls Field.
The Red Deer second baseman had a field day in the 7-5 triumph over the Riverside Red Bulls, finishing 5-for-5.
"My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Peck must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Russell Peck singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
In 40 games this year Peck has posted a .360 average and put up these numbers: 1 home run, 15 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
