Bombers Win at Niagara Falls, 5-1
|
Madison center fielder Bruce Brooks was instrumental in his team's 5-1 win over the Niagara Falls Frenzy. Brooks went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bombers. Bennie Jones, the winner, improved to 1-3. He held the Frenzy to 1 earned run on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 8. Ramiro Rivera locked down his 2nd save.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth when Brooks hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Bombers into the lead, 1-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Brooks told the Madison Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
The Frenzy fall to 13-18 and continue their uneven start to the 2027 season.
