Browns Curb Bombers, 4-3
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Madison Bombers.
St. Louis right-hander Aaron Palmer made an effective start against the Madison Bombers at Gateway Stadium, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Palmer, the winner, moves to 5-1. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 2 walks. Earning his 10th save of the year was Brent Miller.
José Flores, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Clint John for a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put St. Louis in front, 4-2.
"We take it day by day here," said Flores, "and today was a good one for us."
Madison, at 4-24, is off to a poor start in 2027.
