5 Straight Wins for Pikes
|
The Seattle Pikes thumped the Madison Bombers, 8-2, at Red Box Field. António Ortega was a big reason his team got the win. Ortega belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win leaves Seattle with a record of 15-8.
The Pikes got a gift in the top of the eighth inning, when they were leading 2-1. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Pete Rideout reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 2 runs. It made the score 4-1, Seattle.
"This team is real focused right now," said Seattle manager Kevin Hickey.
