Big Day by Foster Ignites Bandits Win
The San Francisco Bandits defeated the New York Knights, 7-5, in National League action at Bay View Park. Cory Foster received player of the game honors. The 9-year veteran slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Bob Cunningham got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Knights to 1 earned run on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Kunihiko Daikawa closed the game out for San Francisco, earning his 3rd save.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, right fielder Michael Elliott came through big-time for the Bandits. With San Francisco leading 2-1, he belted a 2-run home run.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Elliott.

The Knights fall to 7-14 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2027 season.
