Wheeler Brilliant as Sheens Top Bombers
|
The St Charles Sheens went home winners at Crown Royal Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Oscar Wheeler. Wheeler silenced the Madison Bombers, enabling St Charles to grab the 6-1 win. Madison, at 3-14, has had a dismal start to the season.
The Bombers had few good swings against Wheeler, the right-hander, who threw 112 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 5 hits.
"I felt we were ready to go," said St Charles manager Jonathan Campbell. "Our pregame was pretty good."
