Victory Pushes Rocks Record to 13-4
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Plymouth Rocks and Orlando Calrissian were able to complete their ballgame.
The Plymouth Rocks topped the Orlando Calrissian, 2-1. José Morán was named player of the game for his dominant performance. Morán went the distance for Plymouth. He gave up 1 earned run on 4 hits.
With Plymouth trailing 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, the Rocks struck gold when shortstop Taylor McFarland turned a 1-0 fastball from Calrissian hurler Mark Collins into his 1st home run of the season. The hit scored 2 and put Plymouth up, 2-1.
"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Steve Watson.
The Calrissian, at 4-13, have stumbled out of the gate.
