Looters Sink Frenzy, 5-3
|
New Orleans Looters starter Gennarino Lucchetti was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Niagara Falls Frenzy, 5-3. Lucchetti went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 5, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-1. The Looters, now 15-3, have been on fire in the early going.
The Looters grabbed the lead in the top of the fourth. With one out, Francisco Ibarra, who is tied for 10th in the NL in stolen bases with 2, hit a 3-run home run off Manuel Rodríguez, putting New Orleans in front, 5-0. For Ibarra, it was his 4th home run of the season.
"We'll try to build on that win," Lucchetti told the New Orleans Bulletin.
