Royale with Cheese Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Tropics

There was never a dull moment in this extra-length game between the Maui Tropics and the Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese.
The Maui Tropics got a good effort from starter Ronald Cotton in defeating the Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese at Hawthrone Grill. The final score was 3-2. Kalamazoo, at 7-9, are off to an ugly start.
Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Luis Alou's at-bat in the top of the tenth was crucial. With two out, the Maui left fielder hit a run-scoring double, to give his team a 3-2 lead.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Patrick Patterson.
