Multi-HR Game for Copriviza in 9-4 Win
|
Pocatello designated hitter Manny Copriviza played a vital role in his team's 9-4 triumph over Hendersonville. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Pocatello. Samuel Émond earned the win for Pocatello. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 15-7. The save was credited to Bud Baldwin, his 2nd.
In the top of the fourth inning, Pocatello got a break when Copriviza went to the plate. With no outs, runners on 1st and 2nd and the Boccabellas leading 4-1, Copriviza hit a 3-run home run.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager César Martínez. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
