Hitmen Lose to Frenzy in Walk Off
|
The Niagara Falls Frenzy turned back the Hendersonville Hitmen, 4-3, at Edmund Fitzgerald Field. Dante Owens was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Niagara Falls.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With no one out, Owens hit a fastball from Junior Mateo for a solo home run. The Frenzy, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Owens said in his postgame press conference.
