The St. Louis Browns bested the Maui Tropics by a score of 6-3, with second baseman Danny Walker getting the main credit. On the day, Walker went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Browns. St. Louis reliever Luis Noriega got the win, raising his record to 5-7. Kent Robinson was tagged with the loss. Brent Miller earned the save, his 32nd.
Paco Castillo was one of the major contributors to the win for St. Louis. The light-hitting designated hitter stroked a single to center in the top of the sixth inning. For the day, he was 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
