Gang Green Saddle Rebels with 6-4 Loss
|
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Irvine Gang Green.
A 4-RBI performance from the 31-year old third baseman Ronnie Brown helped the Irvine Gang Green beat the Boston Rebels, 6-4. Takehide Ono got the win, improving to 3-0. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Mike Fisher earned the save, his 28th, for the Gang Green.
Jorge Martínez in the top of the second had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Gang Green leading 2-0, the Irvine second baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"I wouldn't want to be playing us right now," said Irvine manager Bobby Jones.
Irvine now sits at 84-56, while Boston falls to 43-97.
