Stars Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Springfield Stars downed the Austin River Sharks, 7-6, in 10 innings. Derek Davidson led the way, going 4-for-5 for Springfield. Springfield bumps their record to 87-48 with the win.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Springfield pinch hitter Juan Carlos Rodríguez, facing Jim Sheppard, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Stars the 7-6 win.
"We saved our best for last," said Davidson.
