Boccabellas Stay Hot With 3-1 Win
|
The Pocatello Boccabellas picked up a win at Connie Mack Stadium, knocking off the St. Louis Browns, 3-1. On the mound for Pocatello was right-hander Martín Ramírez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Adrián Martínez picked up the save for Pocatello, his 38th of the year. The first-place Boccabellas have won 10 straight games.
One important at-bat came with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing St. Louis hurler Ramón Silva, Francisco Sandoval, who is tied for 6th in the CL in extra base hits with 62, hit a run-scoring single. The Boccabellas went on to win.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Sandoval told the Pocatello Daily.
