It was a good time at Greendale Community Field, where fans came to watch the Los Cabos Cartel and Austin River Sharks get after it.

The Austin River Sharks beat the Los Cabos Cartel, 6-4, at Greendale Community Field. The River Sharks got a fine performance from third baseman Juan Castro, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Troy Lynn was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. Josh Graham was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 14 of 16 save opportunities.

Castro contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Austin get the win.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Castro, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."

Austin occupies last place in the Continental League Central Division at 42-89.
