New Orleans Hot Streak Continues with 7-2 Win
|
The New Orleans Looters knocked off the Boston Rebels, 7-2, at The Bayou at Heineken Field. Seung-chun Mun, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason New Orleans won. The left fielder was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Anthony O'Connor, credited with the win, is now 6-3. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 5 innings. The current losing streak for Boston has reached 4 games.
Mun contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for New Orleans in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Mun took a fastball from Mark MacGruder and stroked the home run to right-center. His 28th home run of the season allowed the Looters to leap in front, 5-2.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Mun. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
