Boccabellas Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus New York
|
The Pocatello Boccabellas picked up a win at Connie Mack Stadium, knocking off the New York Knights, 6-3. Starting pitcher Osvaldo Cruz played a key role in the triumph. In 7.1 innings, Cruz surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 4. He allowed 3 runs. Mark Murchison was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
Pocatello took a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, second baseman José Delgado hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Cruz told the Pocatello Daily.
Pocatello has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
