84s Top River Sharks in 12
|
Michigan & Trumbull was sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
The 84s had to overcome a good performance from Austin pitcher Jim Hendon to claim a 4-3 win at Michigan & Trumbull. Hendon went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Greenville's record now stands at 84-44, placing them first in the Continental League Eastern Division.
Carlos Torres provided some late-game heroics for Greenville. In the bottom of the 12th inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a 1-2 fastball from Josh Graham and propelled Greenville to a 4-3 lead.
"This place sure got loud," said Shihi Kamida, the Greenville manager.
