Deplorables Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Fresno Deplorables beat the San Francisco Bandits, 8-6, in 11 innings. Fresno first baseman Paul Mullins merited player of the game honors with his performance. He was 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Fresno is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The most crucial at-bat for Fresno came in the top of the 11th inning. That's when Mullins stroked a first pitch sinker to right-center for a 2-run home run, putting Fresno up, 8-6.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Mullins. "I like it."
