Henvy Suffer 7-5 Setback
|
So Cal shortstop Lawrence Schroeder had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to New Orleans at Jersey West at Staples Field. Schroeder went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Juan Méndez picked up the save for New Orleans, his 34th of the year. New Orleans leads the National League Southern Division by 20 games.
Taylor Smith did his part for the Looters, producing a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning. For the game, the first baseman went 1-5 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said New Orleans manager Ramón Aragón.
