Panthers Jolt Sheens with Late Rally

The Vista Panthers and St Charles Sheens played an exciting game at Crown Royal Stadium.
The Vista Panthers got a good effort from starter Dale Reese in defeating the St Charles Sheens at Crown Royal Stadium. The final score was 4-2. José Betancourt got credit for the win, improving to 1-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. David Simpson closed it out for his 37th save.
Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, John Mendelson's at-bat in the top of the eighth was crucial. With one out, the Vista left fielder reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run, to give his team a 3-2 lead.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Vista manager Tim Fulgham.
The Panthers now own a record of 59-54.
